Our story

Leading Share My Super

It was a letter in the post advising eligibility to claim superannuation that galvanised founder of Share My Super, Liz Greive, to act.

She didn’t need superannuation to live a comfortable life and wondered whether instead the funds could be used to address child poverty. She pictured physically taking the money and handing it to someone who did need it, but that was not a practical, nor scalable solution.

Liz’s vision is of a community of people who are living well and comfortably in their later years, reaching out to give back to those whom life has not given an easy start, and by doing so giving New Zealand children a fair chance to thrive and succeed.

It was from this vision that Share My Super was born.
